BIOTEMPO (BIOTEMPO)

The Scientific Journal Biotempo ISSN: 1992-2159 (Print); ISSN: 2519-5697 (Electronic) is a biannual print and electronic publication; subject to external refereeing and is the Official Publication of the Faculty of Biological Sciences of the Ricardo Palma University (FCB-URP). The journal publishes continuously bimonthly in PDF format in two periods: January - June and July - December. The journal Biotempo aims to publish scientific production in all aspects of biological, health and environmental sciences research. It contains the following sections: Editorial, Letters to the Editor, Original Article, Review Article, Commentary, Scientific Note and Obituary. Research contributions can be submitted in Spanish, Portuguese and English, peer-reviewed (double-blind), mainly basic and applied research on biological topics, with a special interest in presenting results on topics related to the Neotropics. Biotempo has a Scientific and Editorial Committee composed of researchers with internationally recognized careers in their areas of expertise. The journal's content is aimed at specialists and researchers and serves as a forum for academic and scientific discussion. Submitted articles must be original and unpublished and must not be simultaneously submitted for publication in another journal. The editorial process will be conducted in several phases, including a preliminary evaluation by the editorial committee and then by external academic peers, whose decision will determine whether the publication is accepted or not. Biotempo Journal requires authors to assign ownership of their copyright so that their article may be reproduced, published, and publicly transmitted in any form or medium for exclusively scientific and non-profit purposes. The information contained in the Journal is the sole responsibility of the authors who provide it and does not represent the position of FCB-URP or the editors.
