Biochimica et Biophysica Acta (BBA) – Reviews on Biomembranes was a dedicated review journal section established by Elsevier in 1972, at a time when the larger Biochimica et Biophysica Acta journal series branched into specialized research and review components to cover emerging interdisciplinary areas in biochemistry and biophysics.
