Journal Descriptions

Assensus is a biannual journal of educational and pedagogical research published by the Cymted-L research group of the University of Córdoba under the auspices of the network of state universities of the Colombian Caribbean, SUE CARIBE, which began publication in 2016. It is a specialized social scientific publication that disseminates the progress and results of research in the thematic fields of education, pedagogy, curriculum design and development, expanding to the fields of social and human sciences, psychology, and neurosciences applied to education. Its recognition and influence are projected in the Colombian Caribbean with links at the national, Latin American, and international levels in the broadest horizon of interaction. Assensus (from Latin) is defined as "the assent of the intellect to the truth of a proposition." In our interpretation, we adopted this name because of the attributes it grants: Assensus is the credibility we grant to someone who tells us something to which we assent, because that someone has demonstrated that they are accredited, and that something makes sense from the investigative activity, so granting them that credit seems very reasonable. This is the category and status we hope to achieve in the authors and their articles when they are approved and published in this journal.
