The Asian Pacific Journal of Tropical Biomedicine has received an Impact Factor of 1.7 according to the 2024 Journal Citation Reports by Clarivate Analytics. The Journal ranks 16th among 28 tropical medicine journals, which rises by 14% compared with 2023. We would like to thank our authors, reviewers and editorial board members for their consistent contributions and supports and will continue improving the quality of our journal to establish a high-level platform for academic communication. Asian Pacific Journal of Tropical Biomedicine, a publication of Editorial Office of Hainan Medical University, is a peer-reviewed print + online Continuous journal. The journal's full text is available online at http://www.apjtb.org/. The journal allows free access (Open Access) to its contents and permits authors to self-archive final accepted version of the articles on any OAI-compliant institutional / subject-based repository. In depth in vitro studies, animal studies, and pre-clinical studies related to tropical human diseases are welcomed. Studies in the categories of immunology and microbiology, parasitology, genetics and molecular biology, cell biology of tropical infectious diseases including Tropical and Neglected Tropical Diseases and studies in laboratory science and new technology in tropical medicine are considered. Pharmaceutical studies of medicinal herbs in the tropical regions with elucidation of biological actions and mechanisms are also welcomed. Manuscripts with innovative ideas and/or approaches that bridge different fields are considered with priority.
