Journal Descriptions
The Asian Journal of Legal Education (AJLE) is a blind peer-reviewed academic journal established in 2014 with a mission to foster continuous research and dialogue on legal education reform across the Asian region. Published twice a year in collaboration between SAGE Publications India and the West Bengal National University of Juridical Sciences (WBNUJS), Kolkata, the journal serves as a key forum for scholars, legal educators, and practitioners to engage with critical issues in law teaching and learning. It covers a wide range of themes including innovations in pedagogical approaches, clinical legal education, legal aid and access to justice, legal ethics, curriculum design, and the impact of global trends such as digital technology on law schools. The journal also welcomes comparative perspectives that link Asian experiences with global debates in legal education. AJLE aims to bridge gaps between theory and practice by publishing empirical research, conceptual analyses, case studies, and reflective essays that can inform policy and enhance educational outcomes. Indexed in Scopus and recognized for its academic rigor, the journal contributes to advancing the quality and relevance of legal education by promoting evidence-based reforms, interdisciplinary insights, and inclusive approaches suited to diverse legal systems and cultures in Asia.
