The Asian Journal of Economics and Banking (AJEB) is a peer-reviewed, open-access academic journal published by the Ho Chi Minh University of Banking (HUB). Originally established under the title Banking Technology Review, the journal was officially renamed to its current title on January 1, 2019. Between 2017 and 2018, the journal was published on a semiannual basis. Since 2019, AJEB has adopted a triannual publication schedule, with issues released in March, July, and November. AJEB promotes theoretical and empirical research using advanced statistical and machine learning methods in all areas of economics, with a focus on the financial system, especially the banking sector. Submissions related to any region will be considered, but special attention is devoted to research dealing with sustainable development in Asian economies, particularly with regard to the role of the Asian banking and financial systems. Key areas of interest (including but not limited to): • Financial Inclusion and Behavioral Economics in Asia • Islamic Finance and Governance, and ESG-aligned Sustainable Finance in Asia • Climate Risk, Green Finance, and Green Banking in Asian economies • Digital Transformation in Asian Banking Sectors • Financial System Resilience and Risk Management in Asia • Innovation, Regulation, and Governance in Islamic Banking • Economic and Financial Predictions, Predictive Analytics, and Forecast Verification • Application of Various Data Processing Techniques to Economics and Finance, including Bayesian Statistics and Monte-Carlo Techniques, AI and Machine Learning, Statistics of Diffusion Models, Volatility Clustering
