Asian American and Pacific Islander journal of health (AAPIJH)
Journal Descriptions
Asian American and Pacific Islander Journal of Health was a specialized scholarly journal focusing on health issues affecting Asian American and Pacific Islander populations in the United States and internationally. The journal aimed to provide an academic and professional platform for research addressing healthcare disparities, cultural influences on health, disease prevention, public health interventions, and healthcare access within Asian and Pacific Islander communities. The publication encouraged interdisciplinary contributions from medicine, nursing, epidemiology, behavioral sciences, sociology, and community health research. It published original research articles, community based studies, public health reports, policy discussions, and health education materials relevant to underserved ethnic populations. The journal also emphasized culturally sensitive healthcare practices and the promotion of health equity among minority populations. The journal gained recognition in regional indexing databases and was included in Scopus for selected years. Although currently considered inactive, it remains an important historical resource documenting health research and policy issues related to Asian American and Pacific Islander populations.
