ASAP/Journal is a peer-reviewed journal dedicated to exploring new developments in the post-1960s visual, media, literary, and performance arts as well as their historical provenance and global intersections. As the scholarly journal of ASAP, the journal seeks to promote dialogue between artists and critics across the contemporary arts and humanities. Recognizing the increasingly interdisciplinary nature of contemporary art and criticism across the globe, ASAP/ Journal presents pioneering scholarship in numerous genres and platforms, including scholarly articles, interviews, dialogues, and book reviews. The journal publishes methodologically cutting edge, conceptually adventurous, and historically nuanced research and essays concerning the arts of the present, broadly conceived. ASAP/Review is one of the scholarly publications of the Association for the Study of the Arts of the Present, along with the print publication ASAP/Journal. Like the association and print journal, ASAP/Review explores new developments in a variety of post-1960 arts, including writing, plastic and visual arts, digital arts, music and sound art, performance, architecture and design, mixed media and intermedia arts, and so on. ASAP/Review provides a forum for dialogue among and between scholars and practitioners of the contemporary, and it seeks to advance our collective knowledge of our own elusive contemporaneity.
