Journal Descriptions

The journal focuses on the study of authors and texts of the humanistic era, aiming to offer historical-critical insights useful for understanding a cultural movement of fundamental and undisputed importance in the affirmation of civilization throughout Europe. The specificity of its fields of inquiry will seek to understand the significance of the revival and return of the classics within the context of the emergence of a new intellectual society in which the valorization of the "memory" of the ancients appears crucial. This annual journal, founded in 2012, is a non-fiction journal. The journal is dedicated to the study of authors and texts of the Renaissance humanism and aims to offer a historical-critical analysis useful to understand a cultural movement that had an unquestionable importance in the affirmation of the entire European civilization. The specificity of the research areas will try to frame the meaning of the recovery and return to the classics into the perspective of the rise of a new intellectual society, in which the enhancement of the 'memory' of the ancients appears fundamental.
