This journal is dedicated to medieval studies: literary history and doctrinal history of the Middle Ages. It only publishes research presenting solidly documented new content, unpublished or incompletely published texts based on a firsthand manuscript tradition. Founded in 1926 by the philosopher Etienne GILSON (1884-1978) and the theologian Gabriel THERY, O.P., the AHDLMA only publishes research articles with new, well-documented elements, and unpublished texts, or texts of insufficient edition, based on a first-hand manuscript tradition. We do not publish news articles or book reviews.
