Aquatic Food Studies (AFS) is a refereed international scientific journal has been published free of charge and open accessed by Central Fisheries Research Institute (SUMAE). The Journal publishes biannually English language novel and high quality, original research, reviews, short communications and technical notes on applied or scientific research covering the wide range of aquatic food products originating within the marine and freshwater species. All papers should be innovative either in the approach or in the methods used. AFS aims to address all topics related to include, but not limited to, the following; - Processing (traditional and emerging technologies) and engineering, - Preservation, - Packaging and storage, - Biotechnology and nanotechnology, - Quality and shelf life enhancing, - Microbiology, - Physical, chemical and sensory properties, - Underutilized species, by-product and waste utilization, - Consumer attitudes - Rapid techniques for seafood (online control/monitoring, smart technologies etc.) - Functional seafoods and ingredients (nutraceuticals, bioactive compounds etc.) - Environmental, safety and sustainability aspects of all aquatic food. - Food products with marine or aquaculture based ingredients
