Annales de géographie (AG)
Journal Descriptions
This journal holds a historic and central position in geographical sciences. It is an indispensible tool for all geographical sciences: the geography of territories, planning, the environment, and social, cultural, economic, political, and geopolitical geographies. The journal Annales de géographie was founded in 1891 by Paul Vidal de la Blache. A generalist reference journal, it is positioned at the interface of the different currents in geography, promoting the diversity of the discipline's objects, approaches and methods. The journal also publishes work from other disciplines (from ecology to history, economics or law), provided that the analysis of their subject of study is spatialized. The scientific articles published in the journal are subject to a rigorous selection process, based on anonymous assessments by two reviewers specialized in the subject of the article, in order to guarantee the quality and topicality of the research published. The diversity of the profiles of the 22 editorial board members and 10 foreign correspondents reflects the magazine's generalist and international ambitions. Les Annales de géographie is one of the most widely distributed French publications in France and abroad, both in print and digitally on the Armand Colin website and on Cairn. The magazine publishes texts submitted in French or English. In addition, every year, ten articles published in French in the journal are selected for translation and publication on Cairn-International.
