Journal Descriptions
The American Journal of Obstetrics & Gynecology MFM (AJOG MFM) is a peer-reviewed medical journal devoted to advancing research and clinical practice in maternal–fetal medicine. It is a companion journal to the long-established American Journal of Obstetrics & Gynecology and focuses specifically on high-risk obstetrics and fetal medicine. AJOG MFM publishes original research articles, systematic reviews, clinical opinions, short communications, and practice-oriented studies addressing complex pregnancy conditions such as preeclampsia, preterm birth, fetal growth restriction, congenital anomalies, and maternal medical disorders. The journal highlights innovations in prenatal screening and diagnosis, fetal imaging, and therapeutic interventions, as well as outcomes research and evidence-based management of obstetric complications. Emphasis is placed on translational research that bridges basic science, clinical trials, and population health in order to improve maternal and neonatal outcomes. With an international authorship and readership, AJOG MFM serves clinicians, researchers, and trainees involved in maternal–fetal medicine and obstetrics, providing timely scientific evidence to guide patient care and policy in perinatal health.
