Journal Descriptions

American Journal of Medical Genetics Part B: Neuropsychiatric Genetics (AJMGB) publishes papers on the causes and mechanisms of inherited and complex multifactorial neurologic and psychiatric disorders. We publish clinical and experimental investigations of genetic, genomic, epigenomic, transcriptomic, and proteomic mechanisms underlying neuropsychiatric disorders in humans, and in animal and in vitro models of disease. Each issue aims to keep physicians, medical geneticists, researchers, and associated professionals informed of the newest developments in the broad field of neuropsychiatric genetics. Our journal shares novel studies of the heritable nature of psychiatric and neurological disorders and related endophenotypes studied at the molecular, cellular, circuit, and behavioral level.
