American Journal of Ethnomedicine is an open access, peer-reviewed, bi-annual, online journal that aims to promote the exchange of original knowledge and research in any area of ethnomedicine. American Journal of Ethnomedicine invites research articles and reviews based on original interdisciplinary studies on the inextricable relationships between human cultures and nature/universe, Traditional Environmental/Ecological Knowledge (TEK), folk and traditional medical knowledge, as well as the relevance of these for environmental and public health policies. The journal American Journal of Ethnomedicine is a peer reviewed, internationally circulated journal. It publishes reports of original research, theoretical articles and timely reviews, and brief communications in the interdisciplinary field of Ethno-medicine. The Journal serves as a forum for physical, social and life scientists and health professionals, especially those who shares common interests in understanding Ecology, Man and Health Relationship. The Journal seeks scholarly manuscripts that address all aspects of the discipline of Ethno-Medicine. Thus, the transdisciplinary areas covered by Ethno-medicine include medicinal plants and traditional medicinal practices
