Al-Adab Journal (AI-AJ)
Journal Descriptions
Al-Adab Journal – A Forum for Thought and the Humanities Since its establishment in 1959 by the College of Arts, University of Baghdad, Al-Adab Journal has continued its distinguished journey as one of the oldest peer‑reviewed journals in the Arab world. It serves as a rigorous intellectual platform that enables scholars and thinkers to publish original contributions in the fields of the humanities. More than a conventional academic periodical, the journal is a vibrant arena for scholarly and cultural dialogue and a vital source for advancing critical thought and knowledge. The journal is published on a regular quarterly basis with four issues per year (March, June, September, December), with the possibility of issuing one or two supplementary volumes to avoid delays in the publication of research and to ensure timely dissemination. Each published article is assigned a Digital Object Identifier (DOI), and all content is archived in the global preservation system CLOCKSS, guaranteeing long‑term accessibility.
