Journal Descriptions

AJO-DO Clinical Companion is an international peer-reviewed journal dedicated to excellence in clinical orthodontics and dentofacial care. Launched to complement the American Journal of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics (AJO-DO), it was created to provide a dedicated platform for sharing clinical practice advances, case-based knowledge, and evidence-based treatment strategies that directly support patient care. The journal covers a wide range of clinical topics, including diagnostic procedures, treatment planning, use of aligners and temporary skeletal anchorage devices, imaging techniques, orthognathic surgery considerations, management of temporomandibular disorders, craniofacial growth issues, and strategies for treating sleep apnea related to orthodontic concerns. It also highlights clinical pearls, outcomes studies, and practice-oriented features that are richly illustrated with photographs, diagrams, and tables to enhance practicality for clinicians. The content is aimed at orthodontists, dental specialists, educators, and researchers who are involved in applied clinical practice rather than pure foundational research. With issues published every other month, AJO-DO Clinical Companion ensures timely access to emerging clinical insights that bridge research evidence and everyday orthodontic practice.
