Afrique contemporaine (AC)
Journal Descriptions
Published since 1962, Afrique contemporaine is a multidisciplinary, peer-reviewed biannual journal edited by the Nouvelle Afrique contemporaine association. It is dedicated to the study of African dynamics. It is aimed at all those - researchers, students, journalists, decision-makers, members of civil society or simple observers - interested in the continent in all its diversity. Contemporary Africa places particular emphasis on the formulation and implementation of public policies. It bears witness to the new aspirations expressed by the "actors of change" in the conquest of fundamental sovereignties (democracy, politics, diplomacy, security, economics...). At the same time, Afrique contemporaine strives to reflect the links between Africa and the rest of the world. Lastly, the magazine aims to give due weight to analysis of the diversity of the continent's countries' trajectories, as inscribed in their specific histories, institutions and sociologies, in order to shed light on current realities.
