Africa Sanguine is a peer‑reviewed medical journal dedicated to advancing knowledge on blood transfusion science and related disciplines with a focus on improving blood safety across the African continent. It publishes research, reviews, and reports that address transfusion practice, haemovigilance, donor recruitment and policy issues relevant to sub‑Saharan Africa. The journal is hosted by the Africa Society for Blood Transfusion (AfSBT) and articles are often available via African Journals Online (AJOL).Africa Sanguine serves as a pivotal platform for scientific exchange on blood transfusion and haemovigilance practices throughout Africa, supporting clinicians, researchers, policymakers and blood service professionals.
