Journal Descriptions

Acta Scientiarum Mathematicarum is a scholarly peer-reviewed mathematical journal with a long and distinguished history in European mathematics. Established in 1922 by prominent Hungarian mathematicians Alfréd Haar and Frigyes Riesz, the journal has served as a respected forum for advancing knowledge in diverse fields of mathematics. The journal publishes original research papers, surveys, and high-quality mathematical articles in areas such as analysis, algebra, geometry, topology, number theory, combinatorics, differential equations, and mathematical logic. While historically printed in separate issues, publications are often grouped into one annual volume composed of four issues. Unique among many mathematics journals, Acta Scientiarum Mathematicarum maintains an international language policy, regularly accepting work in English, French, and German, in addition to its historical Hungarian roots. The journal is indexed in major academic databases such as Scopus and Zentralblatt MATH, reflecting its academic influence and global reach. Recent volumes and archival content are available via the journal’s website and Springer platforms, enabling access to both historical and current mathematical research.
