Journal Descriptions

Acta Pathologica Japonica was a highly regarded peer reviewed medical journal dedicated to pathology and biomedical research. Published by the Japanese Society of Pathology, the journal provided an important international platform for pathologists, clinicians, and biomedical scientists to publish research related to disease mechanisms and diagnostic pathology. The journal published original research papers, experimental investigations, clinical studies, and review articles covering histopathology, cytopathology, tumor pathology, immunopathology, molecular pathology, forensic pathology, and laboratory medicine. It played a major role in promoting Japanese and Asian contributions to global pathology research and medical science. The journal achieved broad international recognition and was indexed in major biomedical databases including MEDLINE, PubMed archives, and Index Medicus. In 1995, the publication continued under the title Pathology International, reflecting its expanding international scope and modernization of pathology research publishing. Today, the successor journal remains a respected publication in pathology and laboratory medicine.
