Founded in 1953 as 'Acta Parasitologica Polonica', it was published by W. Stefanski Institute of Parasitology of the Polish Academy of Sciences in Warsaw from 1954 and became a part of Springer Nature's portfolio in 2023. Covers latest discoveries in biochemical and molecular biology of parasites, their physiology, morphology, taxonomy, and ecology. Publishes research on immunology, pathology, and epidemiology of parasitic diseases. Invites original articles, short research notes, review articles, and book reviews. Offers a choice between subscription publication mode (without fees) or Open Access (with Article Processing Charge fee applicable)
