Acta Colombiana de Cuidado Intensivo is a peer-reviewed scientific journal dedicated to the field of intensive care and critical care medicine. It is the official publication of the Colombian Association of Critical Care Medicine and Intensive Care, and it serves as a key platform for disseminating research in the management of critically ill patients. The journal publishes original research articles, clinical studies, case reports, systematic reviews, and clinical guidelines related to intensive care practice. Its scope includes mechanical ventilation, sepsis management, hemodynamic monitoring, organ failure, trauma care, postoperative intensive care, and emergency critical interventions. Since its establishment in 2015, the journal has contributed significantly to the development of critical care medicine in Colombia and Latin America. It promotes evidence-based practice and supports the exchange of clinical knowledge among intensivists, anesthesiologists, emergency physicians, and other healthcare professionals involved in acute and critical care.
