Acta Chimica Hungarica (ACH)
Journal Descriptions
Acta Chimica Hungarica was an international peer-reviewed scientific journal published by Akadémiai Kiadó on behalf of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences. It was established in 1982 as a continuation of the earlier journal Acta Chimica Academiae Scientiarum Hungaricae. The journal served as an important platform for publishing high-quality research in all branches of chemistry, including organic, inorganic, physical, analytical, and theoretical chemistry. The journal accepted original research articles, short communications, and review papers from scientists around the world, contributing significantly to the global exchange of chemical research during the late 20th century. It was widely indexed in international scientific databases and was recognized for maintaining strong academic standards and rigorous peer review processes. Acta Chimica Hungarica played a key role in promoting Hungarian and Central European chemical research to an international audience. It supported interdisciplinary studies and encouraged collaboration between experimental and theoretical chemists. Eventually, the journal underwent further restructuring and integration into broader European chemical publishing frameworks under Akadémiai Kiadó.
