Acoustic Research Letters Online (ARLO)

Acoustic Research Letters Online (ARLO) was an international peer reviewed electronic journal dedicated to rapid communication of significant research findings in acoustics. The journal was launched in 2000 and published concise letter style articles covering a broad range of acoustical sciences. ARLO served researchers, engineers, physicists, psychologists, architects, musicians, speech scientists, and biomedical investigators interested in sound and vibration related studies. The journal focused on fast dissemination of innovative theoretical, experimental, and applied acoustics research. Major topics included nonlinear acoustics, underwater acoustics, aeroacoustics, ultrasonics, biomedical acoustics, architectural acoustics, speech processing, hearing science, computational acoustics, and acoustic signal processing. ARLO became well known for its rapid online publication model and interdisciplinary approach to acoustical science. The publication operated under the Acoustical Society of America with publishing support from AIP Publishing. The journal remained active from 2000 to 2005 and was later incorporated into JASA Express Letters.
