ACM SIGWEB Newsletter (SN)
Journal Descriptions
The ACM SIGWEB Newsletter is the quarterly communications newsletter of the ACM Special Interest Group on Hypertext, Hypermedia and Web (SIGWEB), published by the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM). With its roots in the early 1990s — reaching back to 1992 when the newsletter first appeared (originally under the SIGLINK name) — the SIGWEB Newsletter has evolved into a key electronic forum for sharing news, insights, and developments in Web‑centric research and practice. Carrying the E‑ISSN 1931‑1435, it is indexed and archived through ACM’s Digital Library and distributed digitally to SIGWEB members worldwide. Each issue typically appears on a quarterly schedule, bringing together community updates, conference highlights, interviews with researchers, calls for participation, and reports on volunteer and committee activities. The newsletter supports SIGWEB’s mission of fostering a vibrant interdisciplinary community spanning hypertext, Web science, document engineering, digital libraries, and data mining. Through its editorial content, the newsletter reflects emerging research trends, highlights notable achievements, and strengthens collaboration across academic, industry, and professional Web communities. Edited and contributed by SIGWEB members, the newsletter also provides opportunities for volunteers and authors to share their work, perspectives, and experiences with peers, extending SIGWEB’s impact beyond formal conference proceedings.
