ACM SIGMICRO Newsletter (SN)

The ACM SIGMICRO Newsletter is a historical newsletter published by the Association for Computing Machinery’s Special Interest Group on Microarchitecture (SIGMICRO), documenting more than two decades of community and technical dialogue in the field of computer microarchitecture. With its formal presence starting in the early 1970s (Volume 2 Issue 4 in January 1972), the newsletter provided a way for members of the SIGMICRO community worldwide to stay connected with ongoing research, events, and organizational news. It also featured editorial columns, award announcements like the MICRO Test‑of‑Time and Distinguished Service Awards, historical retrospectives, and insights into community initiatives such as oral history projects and SIGMICRO outreach.
