ACM SIGIR Forum (SF)

ACM SIGIR Forum is a long-running publication (first appearing in 1971) that acts as the official newsletter and community forum for members of the ACM Special Interest Group on Information Retrieval (SIGIR). The Gazette is published twice a year, usually in June and December, and reaches researchers, practitioners, and students engaged in the study and practice of information retrieval technologies. The Forum provides a platform for editorially curated community content rather than formal peer-reviewed technical articles. It includes reports from conferences and workshops, summaries of events and symposia, opinion essays, book reviews, and abstracts of doctoral research, making it a valuable resource for staying informed about developments and trends within the IR community.
