Journal Descriptions

The ACM/SIGDA e-Newsletter is the official monthly newsletter published by the Association for Computing Machinery’s Special Interest Group on Design Automation (SIGDA). This newsletter acts as the principal information resource for professionals working in electronic design automation (EDA) — a broad field encompassing automated design methods for electronic systems, circuits, and VLSI design. Initially published in a printed format starting around 1971, the newsletter later evolved into an electronic format in late 2002, reflecting changes in communication preferences and the digital distribution of scholarly and professional content. Distributed on a monthly basis, the e-newsletter includes diverse content relevant to the SIGDA community: news headlines from the world of design automation, technical expositions under a “What is…?” column that explain recent concepts of interest to practitioners, schedules and deadlines for upcoming conferences and workshops, and announcements of SIGDA-sponsored events. These features make it a valuable and timely source of information for EDA professionals, academics, and students seeking to stay current with developments, deadlines, and opportunities in the field. Through this newsletter, SIGDA continues its mission of fostering communication and collaboration among the international design automation community.
