Études théologiques et religieuses (ETR)
Journal Descriptions
Founded in 1926, Études théologiques et religieuses is a quarterly peer-reviewed journal. As a vehicle for the dissemination of research carried out by the Protestant Institute of Theology (Montpellier and Paris), ETR takes part in debates in the religious sciences, primarily in the field of theology. Through the specificity of its fields of investigation - biblical, exegetical, historical, philosophical, ethical, systematic and practical - it stands at the crossroads of scientific uses that go beyond the context of Protestantism to embrace the vast field of religious studies. The journal welcomes contributions from close collaborators in French-speaking theological faculties (Switzerland, Belgium, Quebec in particular) and from French and foreign universities and institutions specializing in religious studies. The varia articles, which remain the soul of the magazine, are linked to the thesis positions, which highlight the most recent research in the field of theology. The notules and pericopes shed light on biblical verses and restricted themes through brief articles, while the dossiers take a plural approach to a question in an intermediate format, distinct from the thematic number dedicated to more in-depth reflection. Notes and columns, as well as the among the books section, offer more or less detailed reviews of recently published works in the various disciplines covered by the magazine.
