Études anglaises (EA)
Journal Descriptions
Founded in 1937 as the successor to the Revue Anglo-Américaine, the widely acclaimed journal Études anglaises aims to disseminate excellent French research and bring French Anglicists into dialogue with the international community. It publishes the research of French and foreign anglicists in literature, linguistics and civilization, and covers the English-speaking world in all its aspects: English, American, postcolonial, world literature, etc. The journal publishes four annual issues of 128 pages each, including special issues under the responsibility of guest editors from France and abroad, and an issue traditionally devoted to questions on the agrégation syllabus. All articles are reviewed anonymously, and made available on the cairn.info website a few months after print publication. The "Comptes rendus" section is devoted to reviews of significant recent publications in the field of Anglistics.
