Éducation & didactique (E&D)
Journal Descriptions
The journal Éducation & Didactique was born of a desire expressed within the Association pour les Recherches Comparatistes en Didactique to rethink the relationships between didactics within educational research, and to develop relations between didactics and other human and social sciences. With this in mind, the journal will publish contributions from a wide range of didactic disciplines, some of which are specifically devoted to a comparative approach, as well as contributions from the educational sciences, philosophy, sociology, psychology, linguistics, etc., focusing on education and training. Education & Didactique is now listed as a reference journal by the AERES and the 70th section. This form of distinction encourages us to further raise our standards not only in terms of the scientific quality of the articles we publish, but also in terms of their evaluation, a system which we shall endeavour to make more transparent, more rigorous, faster, more respectful of the work of authors and evaluators, and we hope more formative. The journal's distribution is expanding considerably, as it is now available on the [Revues.org] portal (http://www.revues.org/5845). The last two years of publication will be "embargoed", but back issues will be available for download, while subscribers will be able to access online the issues for which they have subscribed. We'll keep readers informed of developments and possibilities on the new site. The prospect of online versions of published articles is of particular interest to us, since it should soon be possible to put online additional elements that enhance the interest and relevance of published articles (associated texts, videos, empirical material structured from a specific perspective, etc.).
